About the resealing work

Bathroom Resealing Service replaces failed sanitary joints in UK homes. The fitting stays. The old silicone comes out, the edge is dried, and a new sanitary bead is tooled. A new bathroom, a plumbing repair, or tanking behind the tiles is a different job.

Who does the visit

The work

The visit is a reseal, booked from the quote form or WhatsApp. You send the fitting, what has failed, and the postcode. The written quote follows the length of the joint, the corners, and how much old silicone has to be cut out. There is no phone line on this site.

Showers, baths, basins, toilet bases and wet-room surface joints are the jobs. Colour is white unless you name ivory, grey, clear or black. A decorator’s tube is not used on a wet joint, even if the colour looks right.

Where

Work is booked across the UK. The postcode on the form is what the visit is planned from. County pages describe the housing we actually meet there: flats with one bathroom, terraces with the tray on an outside wall, coastal rooms that stay damp.

How the day runs

01

Before

Leave the fitting unused so the joint can dry. Clear bottles off the tray or rim. Do not silicone it yourself the week before.

02

Cut-out

The old bead is cut and scraped back to a sound edge, including paint and earlier layers. Grout in the middle of a tiled wall is left alone.

03

New bead

Sanitary silicone is tooled on the lines that were quoted. A cracked tray, a rocking pan, or a failed wet-room membrane is pointed out and not buried under silicone.

04

Afterwards

Keep water off the joint for about 24 hours. Then wipe it dry and ventilate the room. A fan is not fitted on this visit.

What this is not

Included when it was quoted

  • Strip-out of the failed silicone on that joint.
  • A tooled sanitary bead, including a named colour when it was agreed.
  • A cure time you can plan around, including a one-bathroom home.

Not sold as a reseal

  • A new suite, retiling, or a full grout rake.
  • Wastes, soil pipes, a bath that has dropped, or a rocking pan.
  • Tanking under wet-room tiles, or a mould spray left on a split bead.
